Pig Dissection Relate and Review

To me, the essential question of this lab was "How can we learn about human anatomy by looking at a pig's anatomy?". The dissection was very relevant to what we did in class because all the vodcasts we did this unit were on all the systems we studied and saw in the pig. Each vodcast was about a certain system in the body, and we saw each of those systems during the dissection and this helped me understand how the organs within work together.
My favorite part of the dissection was when we found the heart and opened it up. I liked this part because it was amazing to see the chambers of the heart and imagine the same organ inside of my body. It was pretty trippy, actually. I really valued this dissection because I know it was an extremely helpful and meaningful lab. I learned about my own internal structures, which was very interesting and a unique experience I had the privilege of doing. Our dissection tutorial (part 1, then part 2) is to the side!
